La Lichée Butter Caramel Sauce

La Lichée, based in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, Quebec, is Grandma Gertrude's recipe that has lasted for many years. Thanks to the recipe from the Magdalen Islands, La Lichée has been producing and distributing exquisite caramels in jars.

Pour it on ice-cream, over your coffee cake, or dip fruit into it for a sweet treat.

  • Salted butter
  • Water
