Mitchell's Old Fashioned Beef Barley Soup Mix

The heart of comfort food, our beef and barley soup is loaded with fibre-rich barley—a mildly nutty grain that’ll remind you of brown rice—making this meal as hearty as it is comforting. Rid your fridge of leftover roast beef, or fry up fresh ground beef, and tame even the hungriest tummies.

400g servings: 10-11 x 2 CUPS

Directions:
1) In large pot, brown 1-2 lb hamburger with 1 chopped onion and Worcestershire sauce (optional).

2) Add package contents, 10 C water, 796 ml can diced tomatoes, and chopped carrot and celery (optional); boil for 5 min, then simmer covered for approx 2 hr. Season with salt and pepper.

Note: to make 4-5 servings, mix package in ziplock bag and use half of the contents.
