This distinctive and delicious remix of traditional Earl Grey is Pluck Tea's top seller! Featuring a soft bergamot character, creamy vanilla bean finish, and a full bodied black tea flavour - this blend is a standout. A perfect dairy - free alternative for Earl Grey lovers who would traditionally add a splash of milk - this tea is delicious and smooth on it's own.
Ingredients: Black Tea, Cornflower petals, natural flavour. 15 tea bags
Traditional Preparation: Use one tea bag. Steep in 8-12 oz freshly boiled water for 5 minutes. Delicious on its own, or with milk. Enjoy!
Hot Latte Recipe: Use one tea bag. Steep in 4-6 oz freshly boiled water for 5 minutes. Add hot steamed milk of your choice. (Dairy, nut, oat, etc) Leave the tea bag in for a stronger brew if desired.
Iced Earl Grey Cream Latte Recipe: Steep two tea bags in 6oz freshly boiled water for 5 minutes. Sweeten if desired, while warm. At this point you can chill the tea in the freezer for 10 minutes (remove the tea bags first) or pour into a glass over ice slowly. (The ice will partially dissolve) Add chilled milk of your choice and enjoy! Delicious with a drizzle of lavender syrup.
Pluck Tea was founded by Jennifer Commins in 2012 with a mission to fix restaurant tea. Today, their team of tea makers is proud to produce a wide range of hand-blended, top quality infusions for tea drinkers who value quality and sustainability - wherever they may be.
Turns out, the best teas come in small batches.
Pluck Teas are made in small quantities with great care at their facility in midtown Toronto to ensure excellence in quality and freshness. Hand blending minimizes leaf damage and ensures that their makers can assess each batch and ingredient for quality, consistency, and freshness.
Pluck Tea has earned GFSI / SQF Certification, a third-party audited, internationally recognized food safety standard - the highest certification possible for tea.
Sustainability starts at home.
Several of their favourite ingredients are grown and dried close to their production facility in Ontario including lavender and ginseng. This ensures that their teas are the freshest out there, while reducing their carbon footprint at the same time. They also source ingredients across Canada from farms in BC, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland.
Upcycling is delicious!
Many of their ingredients are upcycled - which directly reduces food waste by repurposing fresh ingredients that could otherwise be diverted to compost.
Examples include:
Lemon and orange peels, saved and immediately dried for them by a local juice maker (who also happens to supply many of the restaurants they work with!)
Cacao shells, reserved and roasted for us by a local bean-to-bar chocolatier
Let's talk tea.
Tea is the original plant-based beverage. The plant itself (Camellia Sinensis) is indigenous to areas around the world that tend to be closer to the equator than Canada is. Pluck Tea sources their tea leaves from organic and sustainable farms.
